Today I had the opportunity to speak with Tisha Kulak Tolar, author of Gen X,about her life as a writer and the novel itself.

Jennifer Walker: Tell me about other writing projects you have, past present and future.

Tisha Kulak Tolar: I have envisioned from the beginning that Gen X would be a three book series. In addition to the notes I have for that, I have also 2 other novels in various stages of completion that I would love to see published. I have a very busy writing schedule through my company, Trifecta Strategies, so it has been difficult to forge ahead on personal writing projects. My hope has always been to attract some attention so that someone else can take over the management of the book so I can concentrate on writing. Until that happens, I try to squeeze in some fiction writing, or at least write down ideas, until I can devote more time to novel writing.

Right now I am working on regional press as well as virtual book tours on the internet. I am really excited to take the next steps forward.

So hard to believe summer is winding down, school is starting, and my first book signing at the Tri Valley Public Library is on it’s way!

I am happy to announce that the first book signing for Gen X will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at the Hegins Public Library from 10am-1pm. For those of you that are local, I hope to see you there. For those of you that are not, we are hoping to score some new opportunities in the fall. If you have ideas or suggestions for place to request a book signing, don’t be shy - leave me a comment.

I have also done some press coverage and interviews for the internet and local press. I’ll post the information as it becomes available to me!
